1. Remove old gasket and CLEAN boiler casing and cover plate jointing surfaces (the cleaner the better) 2. DO NOT use any grease, adhesive or jointing compound 3. ENSURE CORRECT SIZE "PILOTSEAL" GASKET is used. Inside diameter must fit spigot on cover plate snugly and any overhang on the outside of the gasket should be minimal. 4. Keep cover plate central within the aperture and tighten crab clamp bolt. TIGHTEN ONLY SUFFICIENTLY TO AVOID LEAKAGE. THIS IS VITAL TO AVOID OVERLOAD OF THE RUBBER GASKET WHEN BOILER PRESSURE IS ACHIEVED. 5. Maintain light tension on the bolt during service period (Normally twelve months) Fitting instructions as supplied by Bedlam Crossley Ltd. |
